U. Q. Penn enjoys gardening and is a devoted plant mother -just ask her Peace Lily how attentive she is!  She also loves animals and making kiln-formed glass art.

After college, she lived in Japan for several years and traveled widely.  During that time, she wrote daily and published travel articles.

U. Q. Penn is currently working on her next picture book, as well as a YA novel.

 

 She lives in the lower Hudson Valley, NY.
